MSL-BC® Resources
Step 1
Open Your LinkedIn Profile Settings
Go to www.linkedin.com and click on “View Profile” under “Me” at the top right of the menu (under your profile image).

Step 2
Add a New Certification
Scroll down to the “Licenses & Certifications” section and click on the “+” button.

If you do not currently have licenses or certifications listed on your LinkedIn profile, you may add them by selecting “add profile section.”

Step 3
How To Use The MSL-BC® Correctly
If you followed the previous 2 steps, you should see a form to fill in, pop up. Take a look at the image below and apply it to your profile.

You can copy the following information and follow the instructions to make the process easier (it should only take a minute).
Name: Medical Science Liaison – Board Certification (MSL-BC)
Issuing organization: Medical Science Liaison Society (don’t forget to click on the logo of The MSL Society when it shows up)
Issue Date: fill in the date you received the message that you passed
Expiration Date: 3 years after you acquired the MSL-BC®
Credential ID: you can leave this empty
Credential URL: https://www.themsls.org/msl-board-certification/
Click on “Save” after filling out everything and it’s done!
Step 4
Add The MSL-BC® to Your Last Name for Immediate Recognition
Now that you’ve added the certification to the “Licenses and Certifications” section of your profile, it’s time to add the MSL-BC® to your last name.
Repeat step 1 and simply click on the pen icon next to “More”. Add “, MSL-BC” next to your last name and save.


Feel free to copy this text: , MSL-BC.
If your profile is in two languages like the example above, click on the second language (after adding the MSL-BC® to the primary language) and click on “Save” when the following pop-up shows.

Show Off Your New Credential In Every Email Exchange!
Another opportunity to showcase your well-deserved MSL-BC® credential is in your email signature.
With your post-nominal letters (ie PharmD, PhD, MD etc.) add “MSL-BC” to indicate that you hold this distinction. For example John Smith, PharmD, MSL-BC.
